Community Resistance Continues to highlight Weld Valley Destruction

"Forest Defenders have today established a peaceful blockade in the Lower Weld Valley.  A tree sit structure has been erected to halt the intense ancient forest destruction occurring in the Weld Valley," Huon Valley Environment Centre spokesperson Jenny Weber said.

"Ongoing community resistance in the wilderness Weld Valley is highlighting the ongoing loss of globally significant forests.  Now is the time for Federal and State Government to take on Climate Change by protecting old growth forests,"  Jenny Weber said.
