Forest Defender gaoled for two nights
A Justice of the Peace tonight refused bail for Weld forest defender, Warwick Jordan. This means he will be remanded in custody for two nights, until he can appear again in court on Monday.
"This is a serious attack on freedom of speech when a brave forest defender is gaoled for standing up for Tasmania's ancient forests," said spokesperson Adam Burling.
"Warwick is a dedicated non-violent activist and deserves the democratic right to protest," said Mr Burling
