Forest Life - Survey project

The Huon Valley Environment Centre is conducting forest survey's using the latest video and sound equipment to document the wide variety of wildlife that depend on ancient forest ecosystems for survival. Most logging coupes have never have on ground survey's done before they are destroyed, so the information we are gathering provides a unique window into a beautiful but threatened world. All information gathered is used to build an ecological profile on the forests to be logged, then used to lobby Government and the public to take action to protect these wild places.
