Forest Activist Arrested in Far South Tasmania

"One forest activist who had spent the day in a tree sit has been arrested today.  The forest activist had been protesting the logging of old growth forest in the far south of Tasmania," Huon Valley Environment Centre Jenny Weber said.

"It is the right of every citizen in a democractic country to conduct non violent protests, while logging of high conservation value forests in Tasmania continues, there will always be people willing to defend them," Jenny Weber said.
